The inspiration to burn our own gin came from our team. Not infrequently lies a thick layer of hayflower on the ground. In the country, as hay flowers, all parts of the plant which are not covered by the pitchfork are considered. Perhaps, however, the legacy from an old peasant family did not quite let us go.
The vision was to create a gin that carries the spirit of our team and the character and joy of life of a lush farm garden. Powered by the pure lust for an honest and simple product, we have developed this gin. The task: fine and grounded should be the gin. A gin from the biodiversity of a meadow and the blossoming of an elderberry tree should be. For example, the selected botanicals are individually placed in alcohol for several days, so that the very fine aromas can unfold completely. Gradually they are distilled and stored for several weeks. Only then we combine the different distillates. With the cold, clear spring water from our region, we marry the gin. We deliberately distill very slowly and in small passages, in order to bring the aromas space to unfold.
Thus, the region is named to our ZH Züri Gin. The name fits best.
