Grogue is the traditional rum of Cabo Verde. Mestres das Ribeiras’ unique collection is produced on the island of Santo Antão using pressed sugar cane juice, which is then fermented naturally and distilled in copper alembics. The scent is of ripe banana, caramel, and vanilla, while the flavor is reminiscent of sugar cane, lightly salted cashew, vanilla, and its characteristic spicy black pepper finish.
