Asian spices, southern oranges and juniper form the basis for Gin 27, while for the Woodland edition, elderberry and fir shoots from Swiss forests were added.

Appenzeller Alpenbitter AG has been in existence since 1902 at Weissbadstrasse 27 in the popular Swiss resort. With its traditional herbal bitters, the company has enjoyed great success from the very beginning. However, the global gin craze eventually spread to the Appenzellerland, which is why the company was keen to develop a new, contemporary product. Known for its original drinks, sausage specialties, pastries and cheese made by particularly lucky cows, Appenzellerland is a culinary paradise. That's why the origin of the gin is proudly printed on the front of the bottles - it's always impressive! Like the classic edition, the Woodland edition of Appenzell Dry Gin comes with juniper, coriander, cardamom, liquorice, violets, oranges, cinnamon and star anise. As a little extra, hand-picked fir shoots and elderberries, which can be found in the Swiss forests, serve here as a small extra.
