Cantina Sociale della Valpantena Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Terre di Verona 2022 Red Wine – Balanced, fruity, full-bodied, and lingering, this is a typical Amarone, garnet red in the glass with hints of violet. Its bouquet of dried plum, fig, and raisin rises with medium intensity, complemented by notes of stone fruit and berries. On the palate, it is slightly sweet, fresh, and aromatic, quite soft, full, and harmonious. It continues to present its berry and dried fruit notes here, joined by hints of clove, pepper, and toasted bread, as well as a pleasant finish.

About Cantina Sociale della Valpantena
Cantina Sociale della Valpantena is located in the heart of the Valpantena, northeast of Verona. Founded in 1958, the cooperative cultivates primarily the indigenous Corvina and Rondinella grape varieties in the valley, with the controlled designation of origin for the Veronese hills. Commitment and professional care accompany all production phases, where tradition and technical innovation merge. The excellent quality level of the wines proves that the grapes and olives from the 300 member farms are processed optimally by the Cantina Sociale Valpantena.
The Region
Veneto, known as "Veneto" in the local language, is one of Italy's most popular wine regions due to the tourist hotspot of Venice – and one of the country's three largest. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: one-third is covered by mountain ranges, while the central plains feature extensive rice fields and a long stretch of coastline. Accordingly, Venetian wines are highly varied. Stony and calcareous soil covered with red and brown earth offers good growing conditions for the vines, while the Alps, whose foothills border the vast area in the north, protect the region from harsher northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. Red grape varieties are grown primarily in the warmer plains on the Adriatic coast, while the cooler zones produce excellent white wines, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
