In the mouth, it is supple, showing soft tannins, great harmony, and a full body. The powerful fruit aromatics are rounded off by a hint of coffee notes and a long, persistent finish.

The Region

Veneto, in the local language Veneto, is one of Italy's most popular wine regions with its tourist stronghold Venice – and one of the three largest in the country. Geographically, Veneto is extremely versatile: on the one hand, a third is covered by mountain ranges, while on the other, the region has extensive rice fields in the central plains and a large coastal strip. Accordingly, Venetian wines present themselves in a varied way. Stony and calcareous soil, covered with red and brown earth, offers the vines good growing conditions; the Alps, whose foothills border the vast area in the north, protect the region from the harsher Northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains on the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown; excellent white wines come from the cooler zones, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
