Carlos I Imperial lives up to its name: a royal delight! From the distillation of the finest wines, only the heart is used for the production of Carlos I Imperial. The distillate is rounded off by the addition of the finest sweet wines. It is then aged for at least 15 years in sherry casks in the solera system.

History
Carlos I Imperial is made from the typical wines of Jerez, mainly from the grape varieties Palomino, Pedro Ximénez and Muscat dAlexandria. Wine distillates are the soul of Carlos I and therefore the vine and the wines made from it are of great importance. After the harvest in September, the must of the second pressing is used for distillation. The pre- and post-run is separated and only the "heart" is used for the production of Carlos I Imperial. Storage and aging are carried out exclusively in American oak sherry casks using the solera method. Carlos I Imperial spends 15 years in the barrel.
