About Bodegas Borsao

More than 2,000 hectares of prime vineyards, three wineries, and exports to over 50 countries worldwide: this is Bodegas Borsao in the Campo de Borja D.O. Viticulture has been practiced in the region since the 12th century. The exceptional climate and the best influences from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic can be fully utilized here to produce outstanding wines. The region is known as the “Kingdom of Garnacha,” as the grape originated here before being exported from the Kingdom of Aragon to the rest of Europe during its expansion. Bodegas Borsao is passionately committed to high quality and value in everything it does—an approach that was recognized nearly 10 years ago by Wine Advocate with the prestigious title “Winery of the Year.”

The Region

The northeastern Spanish region of Aragon encompasses the broad Ebro Valley and is dominated to the north by the Pyrenees, which supply the dry valley with water. Thanks to this location, the wines here have great potential. Small, outstanding wineries with a strong commitment to quality make Aragon—with its four DO regions of Cariñena, Calatayud, Campo de Borja, and Somontano—increasingly attractive to wine lovers. Red Garnacha and Tempranillo are the main varieties grown here.
