The Appleton Estate distillery in the Nassau Valley is one of the oldest rum producers in Jamaica. Since 1749 a sugar cane has been cultivated on its lands. Meanwhile the distillery has about 4'400 hectares of land, on which more than 200'000 tonnes of sugar cane are harvested annually. In addition, there is an own coffin. The "Appleton Estate 21 Years" is a Melasserum, which has been stored for at least 21 years in traditional white oak barrels from America.
