In 1902 Emil Ebneter created an alcoholic drink in Appenzell, whose recipe is still family-owned. Only the ingredients are known: 42 herbs and spices.
The recipe of the Appenzeller Alpenbitter has remained unchanged since then. It is made from 100% natural ingredients and no chemical ingredients.
