Only after this step, the botanicals are macerated and then distilled. This process allows a better control and a better uniformity of the final product. The base spirit is made from four Midwest corn stover stills and has a smooth, almost sweet finish. The water used is derived from melting snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains. After macerating the botanicals in a copper still for one night, the product is distilled a fifth time. In this way, a unique, pure and handcrafted distillate is obtained.
